U.S. Legacies is a division of American Legacies, LLC., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving historical information about People, Places, and Things.
This is a FREE service where you can post and preserve, or read and share the memories, stories, photographs, family recipes and genealogy information of your parents, grand-parents and other loved ones, in order to preserve their LEGACIES for future generations.
American Legacies is proud to announce they have been collecting and preserving memories for over 26 years without any Government or institutional support.
However, the only way we can operate this way is through the kindness of our contributors and volunteers.
In order to keep this information FREE, all of the research, editing, proofreading, layouts, graphics and web-design is performed by non-paid-volunteers. As such, we are constantly looking for individuals that CARE about their family history as well as local and American History, that are willing to assist us in documenting and preserving this information.
If you are passionate about learning something new every day, or doing something positive during your lifetime that will have a major effect on future generations, then we would like to encourage you to join our team of non-paid volunteers. This will be your chance to leave your own legacy behind and make a major difference that can help Influence, educate and warm the hearts of future generations for hundreds of years.
The area’s where we can always use help are:

If you enjoy the stories and information we are preserving and sharing, we would like to encourage you to share your own stories and memories.
To pass on your fondest memories of a deceased family member, or friend, you can share it here, so that we can post it and preserve it on our websites and in books or for longer stories and articles.
So please share the stories or memories of your life, a family member or even some person, place or thing that has a positive effect on your life, with us. This is a FREE service. We never charge you to submit a memory or story and will never charge your family members to read or have access your memories.
Also, in order to keep providing these memories available as a free service, while we never pay any employees, we do still have the expenses of publishing and preserving these stories on our websites and in books.
Financial donations to help future generations learn about the lives of everyday people in this country or even their own family members, can be made via pay pal HERE.

As an added note, we are offering FREE interview questionnaires to anyone that wants to ask vital questions when talking with an elderly family member or friend.
These questionnaires are designed to encourage individuals to document or mention complete names of relatives, including maiden names of female relatives.
They will also encourage any veterans that served during combat to record a few memories of the others they served with that never made it back home. These memories can become a tribute or unique insight for the family members of the fallen warriors.
We also have a FREE website HERE where families are encouraged to upload old family photographs, that include the names and other information of deceased individuals.
These photos can be kept secure where only family members can view them or they can be viewed by everyone. That is a choice the person uploading the images can make.
In addition to the information listed above, if you happen to have or want to created a FREE family tree chart for your family, we have a special website where you can create or upload your own family tree. We even have a FREE chart we designed that you can print out and keep in your home.
And don’t forget the family dinners. We also encourage people to preserve and pass down old family recipes.
Many people will remember the fragrance, taste, aroma and love that was served around a family table at meal time.
So, if you were raised on some good home cooking and have access to any old family recipes, you can even share them with future generations.
The bottom line here is no matter how many years you have lived, your past is what has made your life unique.
Share as many memories of your life, as you can recall. This is important to do NOW because as you get older, bits and pieces of your memories will start to disappear.
And once they are gone, no one else will ever learn about the special moments you shared with some special family member, friend or loved one.
